Recipe Books
Recipe Books live next to Meal Plans in your library. Use them when you want a named collection of recipes — breakfast ideas, pescatarian dinners, dairy-free smoothies — without nesting those recipes inside a meal plan.
Create a book
- Open Library → Recipe Books in the sidebar, or use the Recipe Books tab at the top of Meal Plans.
- Use All Recipe Books or My Books to filter the list, then select Create Recipe Book.
- Add a title and optional description or cover image.
- On the book Overview tab, select Add Recipes, check the recipes you want, then add them to the book.
Each row shows a cover thumb (or a patterned fallback), recipe count, and how many clients the book is assigned to. Click the assigned-client line to jump to that book’s Clients tab.
On Overview, hover the title or description and click to edit them in place — save with Enter or by clicking away, cancel with Escape. Sort the recipe list and add one or more recipes from the picker. Each recipe row shows a photo, title, calories, and macros. Dietary tags such as High Protein or Dairy Free appear when the source recipe includes them.
Assign to clients
Open the Clients tab on a book (or click Assigned to N clients on a row). Available clients appear in the left-hand roster right away. Search to filter, then assign them (or add everyone at once) and review Assigned Clients on the right. Only you (or a workspace admin) can change assignments on a book you created.
Assigned clients see the book in Recipe Books in their app immediately.
What clients can do
- Browse only the books you assigned to them
- Open recipes and review ingredients and macros
- Tap Log to today if they are on macros-only or hybrid nutrition
Clients on a meal-plan-only setup can still browse assigned books, but they cannot log from them.
Tips
- Keep books focused (one meal type or dietary need) so clients can find ideas quickly.
- You can reorder recipes from the row menu.
- Deleting a book removes it from every assigned client’s library.
