Cardio
Cardio is logged separately from strength work on Exercises. Use it for runs, bikes, rows, walks you want as cardio sessions, and similar activities.
Manual cardio log
When you log cardio, you’ll typically enter:
- Activity type — run, bike, row, etc.
- Duration
- Distance (when it applies)
Your coach may set a weekly cardio target. Completing sessions counts toward that goal on your dashboard and in their review.
On phones, you can also open Activity from the dashboard for a focused logging view that includes cardio alongside steps and weight.
Steps via Apple Health / Health Connect
Rather than typing daily steps, connect your phone’s health platform:
| Platform | Source |
|---|---|
| iOS | Apple Health |
| Android | Health Connect |
Setup
- Open Settings → Health Connection (see Settings).
- Turn the connection on and grant permission when the system asks.
- Daily step totals start syncing automatically.
The connection is built to read step count for coaching — not your full health history dump for unrelated metrics. The settings panel shows the time of your last sync; use Sync now if numbers look stale.
Native app only
Step sync requires the native iOS or Android app. It is not available in mobile web alone.
Tips
- Log structured cardio sessions even if steps also sync — your coach may care about intentional training, not only daily movement.
- If steps stay at zero after granting permission, confirm Health / Health Connect access for CoachingPortal in the phone’s system settings, then Sync now.
